- Held every Sunday morning on Armstrong Bridge, all types of local crafts on sale.

- Park beside Heaton Road with childrens play areas, bowling greens and pavillion.
- Heaton Community Centre
- Numerous classes and activites provided including weekly toddlers sessions, martial arts, morris dancing, an orchestra and social club.
- High Heaton Library
- Library on Newton Road closed for refurbishment until September 2008. Replaced by the mobile library on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
