High Heaton Library Opening
On Monday 22nd September High Heaton Library will officially open. Sited near the Spinney on Newton Place.

During September and October the are a series of public consultations are taking place on the future of the Ouseburn Valley. Details on the dates are found in News .		 Garden Waste Bins
Garden waste wheely bins being issued to selected properties in Heaton and around Newcastle East End. Collections fortnightly.
Blue Wheely Bins
Blue wheely bins are being distributed to replace the current black boxes throughout heaton and the surrounding areas. 		Drop-in Stop Smoking Services
A stop-smoking drop-in service is being held weekly in the East End Pool on Tuesdays 5.30-7.00pm and in St Martin's Centre, Walker on Wednesdays 9.30-11.30am. No appointment necessary.
Tour of Britain Cycle Race in Nedwcastle East
On Friday 12th September the Tour of Britain cycle race will be entering Newcastle. The riders will race down the Northumberland coastline through Walker and Byker leading to the sprint finish all Newcastle Quayside 		Heaton Depot Family open day On Sunday 14th September the Heaton Depot railway will be open to the public. The day will celebrate its heritage and will include live music, children's entertainment and stalls. Depot open 10am-4pm (last entry 3.30pm)
